You need to have cash on you, your passport or other identification and of course, your cell phone. Having your phone on you will allow you to call in case of emergencies, but most smartphones can be used for directions, finding a hot new restaurant or simply as a way to hail a cab. Getting a new phone doesn’t have to be a challenge, you can stop in at any Straight Talk and get one, Whether you are an Android or Apple fan, getting a new phone can provide a sense of security for you as you travel, knowing that you have reliable technology with you as opposed to your old phone. Another thing to consider when traveling is how your coverage will hold up. While your phone may work at home, it may not work in other areas. To avoid experiencing a dead zone, head into your provider and find out if there are any coverage lapses at your destination. They may not be able to do anything about it, but you will be able to plan for it.
